How Do Fat Burners Work?

There are literally dozens of ways to burn fat, increase the metabolic rate and or manipulate the metabolic pathways.

To Burn Fat, is the path where one can obtain energy from fat.

It goes like this, Triglycerides get broken up through hydrolysis, leaving three fatty acids and glycerol.

We call this action lipolysis, it happens within the cells cytoplasm.

From there we move on down to beta (β)-oxidation, the leftover is fatty acyl CoA then it combines with carnitine.

The new fatty acyl carnitine is the transporter for the fatty acid across the mitochondrial membrane, Burning Fat Now!

Lipogenesis

When glucose levels excess can be converted into fatty acids, triglycerides, cholesterol, steroids, and bile salts.

This process, called lipogenesis, creates lipids (fat) from and takes place fat and liver cells.

Consumption of excess carbohydrates may turn glucose into fat.

This where fat burners come in to play, actually in each step of the way there are methods to influence the behaviour of these process's.
