Methylene Blue uses

Methylene blue (MB) is a synthetic compound used as a nootropic to increase memory, mood, and longevity.

In the early 20th century, psychiatrists were using Methylene Blue in the experimental treatment of schizophrenia.

Methylene Blue is currently being studied as a potential therapy for mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders. 

All were sharing a common problem with mitochondrial function.

Soon after MB was synthesized as a textile dye in the late 1800s, it became the first synthetic drug to be used in humans.
